Dream Advice is a specialty of mine and something I love to do. Everyone dreams. Some people might not remember their dreams, but it’s a proven fact that everyone dreams, every single night. You have about 3-9 dreams a night, this happens when you hit REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. For the most part we start dreaming at eight months old. What are dreams? They are states of consciousness during our sleep affected by a combination of our emotions, fears, conscience, intuition, thoughts, ideas, fantasies, and are a part of our past, present and future. No two dreams are a like. Just like us they are unique and guided by the circumstances of our lives. During our waking hours we use our conscious to go about our day, but our subconscious is watching everything, all around us, all the time, and it picks up on all the little things that our conscious mind doesn’t have the time to assimilate. As we lay our heads down and go into REM sleep that’s when our subconscious and conscious work together to give us these fascinating dreams. Anything is possible in our dreams. To interpret your dreams we must first eliminate the ones that have no meaning. If you were intoxicated before sleep or if you had a heavy meal and went to sleep, these dreams should be discounted. Dreams of an external sound or touch have no meaning, for instance you are dreaming about being tickled to death only to wake to find it’s your cat’s tail that’s really doing the tickling. Or you are being chased by the police only to wake to hear the sirens in the distance. Was there a movie, a TV show or conversation that inspired your dream? Well these too also have no meaning. As well as an illness or being severely depressed. Now that we have eliminated the meaningless dreams let work on the rest. We are at our most relaxed state between 1am-7 am that’s when we do our best dreaming. That’s when we have dreams about our future, our goals, clarity about events in our lives and answers to your questions. Very vivid dreams have the most important meaning and every detail must be checked. Recurring dreams have significance as does a dream that stands out even though it was very mundane in nature. Dreams are prophetic and can warn us about future events or just give us a glimpse of what’s to come. For advice about your dream(s) please provide me with as much detail as possible. Describe your dream in 500 words or less. Dream advice is $5.00. The advice will be emailed to your email address that you provide. Please remember to give as much detail as possible – smells, sounds, colors, day or night, emotions, rough or calm water, everything counts. I look forward to sharing your dreams.
